| Description: | Delta Dental of Colorado (DDCO) is seeking a full time Dental Director to act Delta Dental�s clinical expert in oral health. The Dental Director reports to the VP of Operations/COO and serves as the clinical resource in developing marketing strategy and key account strategy, as well as providing education and expertise to both internal and external audiences. |
| Duties: | � Provides clinical expertise on oral health and dental industry issues.
� Leads relationship development with participating dentists and supports relationship development with organized dentistry. Coordinates these activities with the COO and the Professional Relations Manager.
� Acts as staff liaison to DDCO�s board committees dealing with professional services.
� Provides expert clinical advice on product development activities.
� Provides oversight and direction to the DDCO Director of Analysis for evaluation of dental fee reimbursement.
� Plans and implements the clinical quality strategy for DDCO.
� Reviews/amends policies and procedures relative to clinical review and claims payments.
� Directs the development, production and distribution of Provider Report Cards and provides response to dentists and staff as needed.
� Provides support to the DDCO Foundation.
� Provides policy advice for the Colorado Department of Health and Environment.
� Provides expertise on fraud and abuse matters.

| Qualifications: | � DDS/DMD degree.
� Current Colorado licensure or ability to obtain
� Advanced academic or scientific credentials in public health or oral public health preferred
