Description:We are looking for a professional who will be responsible for writing and designing product brochures, marketing material, and other marketing collateral that supports Delta Dental. You will be responsible for writing copy for annual reports, speeches, newsletters, product brochures and other like items. You must be able to write in an engaging manner that effectively communicates the company�s mission and value propositions to appropriate key stakeholders.

This position is also responsible for creating visual solutions for communicating Delta Dental�s messages in marketing material and product brochures. It is essential to be able to creatively design these items, while maintaining corporate graphic standards.

You will have the opportunity to create and plan events for brokers and other key stakeholders, such as product roll-outs and educational seminars. You will act as the primary project manager of these events as well as the graphic designer for any event invitations, agendas or promotional items.
Duties:Key Responsibilities:
� Provide strategic consultation to the Senior Leadership Team in the development of urgent and effective messaging
� Serve as lead writer & designer for communications materials such as newsletter articles, talking points, fliers and email blasts
� Supervise external writers/designers to ensure consistency across communications
� Manage print production/delivery, ensuring cost-effective, quality materials on time and within budget
Qualifications:Required Experience:
� Ten years communications experience with a thorough understanding of the creative development process
� Five years experience as lead copy writer for a variety of audiences and applications
� Five years experience managing website content using HTML/CMS
� Expert Adobe Creative Suite skills with solid technical proficiency
� Intermediate to expert experience with Adobe Live-Cycle Designer
� Proficient in HTML coding
� Knowledgeable of Associated Press Stylebook/Chicago Manual of Style standards


Requirements:
� A Bachelor�s degree - Publishing, Communications, English, Marketing or related coursework preferred
� Superior/exceptional verbal and written communications skills
� Demonstrated ability to write in an engaging manner for a variety of media, while maintaining consistency in voice and style
� Demonstrated ability to quickly and accurately design fliers, brochures, articles, newsletters, web content/other communications materials using Adobe Creative Suite
� Ability to manage demanding deadlines and changing priorities
� Ability to wear multiple hats: serving as both a project manager and writer/designer on the majority of projects
� Must be able to pass a copy editing test
