Employee Benefits

Delta Dental of Colorado recognizes the importance of employee benefits as a component of its total compensation package. We believe we offer a rich benefit package. Unless otherwise noted below, who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits the first of the month following 30 days of employment. 

  

•·      Medical
Medical insurance is offered to employees and families with no monthly premium cost.

 

•·      Dental
Dental insurance is offered to employees and families with no monthly premium cost.

 

•·      Short Term Disability
Optional short-term disability is offered to employees. They may receive 60% of their salary for up to 90 days of disability

 

•·      Long Term Disability
Delta Dental of Colorado pays the full premium for long-term disability. Employees may receive two-thirds of their salary after 90 days of disability.

 

•·      AFLAC
AFLAC offers a variety of voluntary benefits including group accident, group critical care, hospitalization and cancer for Delta Dental of Colorado employees.

 

•·      Life Insurance & Accidental Death and Dismemberment
Employees are eligible for 1 ½ times their salary plus $15,000 up to a maximum amount. Optional life insurance is offered to the employee as well as spouses and dependent children.

 

•·      Flexible Spending Account - Employees have the opportunity to redirect part of their compensation tax-free. This money can be used for Dependent Care ($5,000) and/or Medical Care ($2,500). Direct Reimbursement Visa card is paid by the company so employees can pay expenses directly from their FSA account.

 

•·      Employee Assistance Program - Employees are encouraged to take advantage of our full service employee assistance program. Program benefits include three free counseling sessions and unlimited phone consultations.

 

•·      Tuition Reimbursement - After six months of employment, employees are eligible for a maximum reimbursement of $5,250 per year for tuition, books and fees.

 

•·      Incentive Compensation Plan - Eligible employees may receive a bonus in the form of a percentage of their wages based on the accomplishment of designated bonus goals.

 

•·      401(k) - Available after 6 months of service. Employees may contribute up to 100% of income on a pre-tax basis or a Roth post-tax basis up to the maximum amount allowed by law. The deferral amount can be changed monthly. Delta Dental of Colorado will match 100% on the first 3% of employee contribution and 50% on the next 2%. Immediate 100% vesting of matching funds.

 

•·      Retirement Plan - Delta Dental of Colorado contributes 4% of an employee's base income to their individual account. No contribution from an employee is required. The vesting schedule is a five-year graded vesting schedule based on the employee's employment commencement date. Employees are eligible after one year and at least 1,000 hours of service.

 

•·      Paid Time Off - PTO combines vacation, personal and sick time into one bank. PTO hours accrue on your date of hire and are available immediately.
First year = 15 ½ days    Years 2-4 = 22 days    Years 5-19 = 27 days    Year 20 = 32 Days

 

•·      Holidays - Eight paid holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, The day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day)
