| Description: | Are you an independent and forward thinker looking for a position as an organizational leader for strategy and direction of data management? This position supports and enables internal Delta Dental of Colorado (DDCO) customers to effectively make data based decisions impacting external customers including Groups, Providers, Producers and Individuals. You would also be responsible for managing and establishing the strategic direction for data, including data definitions and data quality.
You will have the opportunity to direct and provide leadership to the Analytics staff which provides support to organizational processes, supports the external reporting to clients and services the data and analysis needs of internal customers. This position also establishes the pricing policy and procedures for all DDCO products, recommends and manages the development of premiums and fees as well as makes recommendations regarding the DDCO Dental Fee schedule based on analysis and evaluation.

| Duties: | � Develop and recommend non-standard benefit pricing such as adjunct rating models needed (ie deductible values).
� Analyze and recommend DDCO Dental Fee adjustments such as annual review of Premier MPAs, network competitive assessment (Net Minder) and provider performance analytics.
� Analyze dental claim trends, including but not limited to review external carrier, industry and consulting house data and develop a process for analyzing group specific trends for large accounts
� Develop long-range projects of dental costs.
� Client and consultant support by attending consultant meetings to explain the company�s rating philosophy and process.
� Develop and maintain accurate IBNR models for determining group-specific IBNR estimates.
� Manage projects that enable or support the analysis and preparation of data for the financial analysis such as product line profitability analysis and quantifying DDCO�s market position relative to key competitors� products.

| Qualifications: | � Requires a Bachelor�s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Business or related field
� Requires at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience as a healthcare analyst or actuary
� Requires at least 3 years of supervisory or management experience
� Associate of the Society of Actuaries and a member the American Academy of Actuaries preferred; candidates who have completed at least 2 examinations and are actively pursuing certification will be considered
� Ability to manage and analyze large quantities of data from multiple sources using tools such as SQL.
� Requires health insurance experience
� Consulting firm experience preferred
� Strong organizational skills with extensive attention to detail
� Ability to analyze data, make recommendations and build a consensus for action
� Ability to make effective group presentations
